About

Photo of HildaHilda Vaughan is a trained agriculturist and a priest in the Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. She is presently the Priest in Charge of the Gilnock Santa Cruz Cure of Souls in St. Elizabeth.

As an agriculturist she embraced climate smart agriculture. She worked hard at empowering poor Jamaican farmers  especially rural women while remembering that God has made it plain how to live and what to do.

She does not take herself too seriously but takes her work seriously. She sees her life work as improving her little world one person at a time. She is usually a happy and fun loving person, with a good sense of humour.

She is past secretary and Vice President of the Jamaica Network of Rural Women Producers  (JNRWP) a member chapter  the Caribbean Network of Rural Women Producers. (CANROP)

Hilda loves children and gardening.  At her home Church, she worked with a small group of children at her home church  – St. Matthew’s Anglican in Allman Town, Kingston,  Jamaica in a club called TRRFCCally Me where children learned character values and social skills while doing art and craft projects.

Gardening is an addiction she has kicked, but she still enjoys having a lot of plants.
